Our Legal Basis

The Academia Europaea was originally created under a 'declaration of trust' and until 2010 was registered as an not-for-profit association under English charity law (with former registration number 1001978). You can view the information via this link  or read the original deed of trust here .

In 2010, The Academia Europaea Ltd was registered at Companies House in the UK as a Company Limited by Guarantee (registration number 7028223) and was also registered as a not-for-profit charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (registration number 1133902). The registered address is at 21 Albemarle Street, London, W1S 4HS.

The current Board of Trustees, who are elected by the members of the Academia Europaea, are:

SUBSCRIPTIONS and DONATIONS
MEMBERS of the Academia Europaea - The 2013 subscriptions are payable now. In late April/early May all eligible members will receive a letter sent by normal mail asking for payment. You can pay now using our secure online payment system -[ follow this link] or click on the 'subscriptions' tab at the top of this web page. The annual contribution remains at 120Euros (100 GBP).
