Grzegorz W. Kołodko, Professor of Economics and Economic Policy at Warsaw School of Economics and a member of the Economics, Business and Management Sciences section of Academia Europaea since 2019, is a a key architect of Polish economic reforms and the most frequently cited economist from post-Communist countries.

He is the founder and Director of TIGER - Transformation, Integration and Globalization Economic Research - at Kozminski University in Warsaw. Author of numerous academic books and research papers on development policy and systemic transformation published in 25 languages, including in English the books: From Shock to Therapy. The Political Economy of Postsocialist Transformation (Oxford UP, 2000), Globalization and Catching-up In Transition Economies (Rochester UP, 2002), The Polish Miracles.
