Physics#
The Physics Section comprises all subfields in Physics, from atomic, molecular, and optical physics and quantum science, through condensed matter and materials physics, nuclear physics, elementary particle physics, field theory, gravitation, cosmology, astrophysics, and physics and cosmology-related astronomy, up to statistical, nonlinear, complex systems, biological, soft matter, fluids, plasma and computational physics, including machine learning and artificial intelligence. Members perform research in academic, research and industrial institutions, large and small, and work in collaborations of different sizes, ranging from a few researchers up to a few thousand ones, depending on the type of research line involved.
