Bibliography(info)

Yakov G. Sinai is one of the most influential mathematicians of the twentieth century. He obtained numerous groundbreaking results in the theory of in mathematical physics, dynamical systems, and in probability theory. Yakov G. Sinai contributed to bridging the world of deterministic (dynamical) systems with the world of probabilistic (stochastic) systems. Many mathematical results are named after him, including Kolmogorov-Sinai entropy, Sinai's random walk, Sinai's billiards, Pirogov-Sinai theory and Sinai-Ruelle-Bowen measures.
